Umbrella is doing well not only in the Czech Republic, but also in neighbouring Germany. Most recently, it won a tender to operate regional bus routes in the district of Görlitz in Saxony near the Czech border.

The buses of the subsidiary Umbrella City Lines GmbH will start operating in the Löbau and Neugersdorf regions as early as 1 July 2023. The contract is for 10 years and is important for the company because, among other things, it will move some of its buses to Saxony from nearby Jablonec nad Nisou, where its contract to operate public transport is coming to an end.

"This is a 1.4 million kilometre contract for 22 coaches and two backup buses. This is an extremely important contract for us, also because of its proximity to Jablonec nad Nisou, where we are ending public transport operations. We will move some of the buses there," Pavel Steiner, the owner of Umbrella, confirmed to zdopravy.cz.

There are currently 30 buses with the Umbrella logo in Jablonec nad Nisou. Nine of them will move to the eastern Holstein region in April, where the company won an eight-year tender to operate in the Ost Holstein network. The other six buses, which are currently plying the streets of Jablonec, will be used by the company for the next three years to provide replacement bus services in the event of closures in Berlin. Umbrella will need 32 drivers and two dispatchers to operate in Saxony.

Umbrella is doing well in the area of public transport commitment. Last June it took over bus services in the Přelouč region, and since December it has been providing suburban public transport in three areas of the Ústí nad Labem region. Unlike other carriers, it also does not face any service disruptions in any of the areas in which it operates, so that carriers do not have to cancel services.
